InScribe and James Madison University Partner to Create New State-of-the-Art Student Digital Communities

Interactive Communities Deliver Support and Encouragement to the School's Growing Adult Learner Population Working Towards Degree Completion and On-the-Job Advancement

Denver, CO - January 11, 2022 - InScribe, which delivers game-changing digital community solutions, today announced a partnership with James Madison University (JMU) School of Professional & Continuing Education to create interactive online spaces that increase student engagement within its adult degree completion program. JMU's digital communities give their students a place to find help and resources, share insights and ideas, and connect with one another.

"At JMU, we believe that access to support and community should not be limited by proximity to campus. We strive to ensure every student - whether in person or online - feels as though they belong and has the opportunity to connect and collaborate," said Dr. Melissa Lubin, Dean of the School of Professional & Continuing Education. "We are excited to work with InScribe to boost student engagement in new and meaningful ways. JMU students are each other's biggest fans, and we know that the relationships they will form in these digital spaces will help fuel their success."

Ranked a top 50 Best Online Learning School by Newsweek and Statistica, JMU sought a technology partner that shared its forward thinking approach. InScribe's platform breaks free from overcrowded inboxes and static one-way communication, to create dynamic learning communities that increase engagement and promote student success. From advice about courses, to a listening ear, to career connections, InScribe’s digital communities give students a place to turn when they need a helping hand so no student ever learns alone.

JMU will be integrating InScribe into the school's Canvas LMS, providing students with simple, straightforward access to a network of people for connection and support anytime, anywhere.

"We are excited to be a part of JMU's mission to support pathways for degree completion for non-traditional learners so they can continue to progress in their careers," said Katy Kappler, CEO of InScribe. "Digital communities not only facilitate connection and create a sense of belonging, they also give students another avenue to collaborate, a skill that JMU emphasizes and one that can strengthen a student’s workforce readiness and on-the-job performance."
